Melissa knoeber
EVP, Director of Culture and Talent
As Executive Vice President and Director of Culture and Talent at Fidelity Bank | Oklahoma Fidelity Bank, Melissa Knoeber provides strategic leadership across the organization’s efforts to cultivate a high-performing, engaged and purpose-driven workplace. She oversees the Office of Culture and Talent, bringing together human resources, community engagement, marketing communications, organizational learning and development, facilities management, and inclusion strategies to strengthen Fidelity’s distinctive culture and enhance the experience of employees, customers and the communities the organization serves.
With more than three decades of banking experience, Melissa has built a diverse career spanning human resources, consumer lending, retail training, customer service, cash management and operations. Since joining Fidelity in 1997, she has held a variety of leadership roles that have given her a broad understanding of the organization and its people. Prior to her current role, Melissa served as Director of Human Resources, where she led significant advancements in HR technology, employee benefits and professional development initiatives.
Melissa’s leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that culture is a strategic advantage and that investing in people creates stronger organizations and stronger communities. Through her work, she is passionate about creating an environment where employees can thrive, leaders are equipped to succeed and Fidelity’s purpose of making lives better is reflected in the employee and customer experience.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Friends University and certifications in Strategic Human Resources Management and Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University. She also completed the Human Resources Management School through the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Wichita and a graduate of Advance Kansas.
Deeply committed to her community, Melissa has served as past chair of the Sedgwick County Zoological Society and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Music Theatre Wichita. Throughout her career, she has supported numerous organizations and initiatives, particularly those focused on the arts, education and opportunities for young people. Her professional and community leadership are driven by a personal commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
